Depending on your niche, some information products might not work well for your audience. There are, however, a few types of report that you can apply to just about any niche. Let’s take a look at a few of them.

How-to guides are completely universal. Whatever niche you’re involved in, there’s something you can teach your readers. If your niche is pet care, you can teach your readers how to potty train their dog. If your niche is weight loss, you can teach your readers how to lose weight fast. No matter what your specialty, you can teach someone how to do something.

Creating a report around a piece of current news in your niche works well. If your readers are passionate about your niche, they’ll want to know about current events that relate to it. By putting together a report that offers in depth coverage on some recent piece of news related to your niche, you can attract a lot of readers, especially if you’re quick to bring your product to market before your competition does.

Ten minute guides make for great products. A ten minute guide should cover a topic in a brief way so that the reader can take it all in, and learn something quickly. It’s not intended to be heavy on details, just to give your reader a strong overview of a topic from start to finish.  For example, a ten minute guide to potty training your dog wouldn’t include all the details about what to do if your dog didn’t respond well to the training, just a quick overview of what steps are involved in potty training the dog.

No matter what your niche, things can go wrong. That’s why survival guides tend to sell well. Pick a possible problem that might scare your audience a little, and create a guide for how to survive that problem. For example, a report titled “How To Survive Bankruptcy” would sell well.

All of these examples could be applied to just about any niche. It’s up to you to think about which one best suits your niche, and the needs of your readers. Choose the right type of report for your niche, and you’ll be sure to generate a good number of sales in no time.
